SRA. RIGBY

Spanish

Señora Rigby is originally from Colombia where she earned a bachelor’s degree of Science in English and French from the Universidad de Nariño. Additionally, she also received the TESOL certification from Kennesaw State University in 2014 and holds Spanish, English, and French teaching certifications from the state of Georgia.

Prior to her role at Atlanta Classical Academy, she was the director of the language department at a regional educational center in Colombia as well as a Spanish, English, and French teacher at different schools in her home country and in the United States. As a language teacher, Señora Rigby tries to create lessons that will leave a lasting impression on her students. She thinks that learning other languages allows students to explore the world by experiencing different cultures and traditions. In her spare time, Señora Rigby enjoys reading, traveling, and scrapbooking–she loves to capture the best moments of her life with her friends and family.

The mission of Atlanta Classical Academy is to develop graduates in mind and character through a classical, content-rich curriculum that emphasizes the principles of virtuous living, traditional learning, and civic responsibility.
