MR. VAUPEL

Physics

Mr. Vaupel earned a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science & Engineering from Georgia Tech. After graduating, he taught in Nashville for a year and then moved back to Georgia and has been teaching at Atlanta Classical since 2022. Mr. Vaupel has taught upper and middle school physics as well as public speaking. He is most passionate about influencing the lives of students and is grateful to be part of a school that is raising up intelligent, virtuous American citizens.

After growing up in Cobb County, he currently lives in Marietta with his lovely wife and 2-year-old daughter. An avid runner, he also coaches our cross country and track teams. You may often spot him out for a run near campus, Cochran Shoals, Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield, or one of the many other beautiful places to train around metro Atlanta. Originally from Knoxville, TN, he is a big Tennessee Volunteers fan. He has also visited all 50 states and every Major League Baseball team’s stadium.

The mission of Atlanta Classical Academy is to develop graduates in mind and character through a classical, content-rich curriculum that emphasizes the principles of virtuous living, traditional learning, and civic responsibility.
