MR. McCLATCHEY
Literature
Mr. McClatchey, an Atlanta native and a graduate of The Westminster Schools, received his Bachelor of Arts in Art and English from Hillsdale College. He then earned a Masters of Fine Arts in Poetry from the University of Florida. While in Gainesville, he explored swamps, observed alligators, and met his wife, ACA sixth grade teacher Mrs. Moore.
Mr. McClatchey grew up rambling in the woods with his siblings, and maintains a love for the wild plants and animals of the Georgia Piedmont. He often takes his classes outside and teaches them how to pay attention to the landscape in which they live.
When he is not teaching, Mr. McClatchey enjoys painting, palying basketball, and writing.
