MR. BENSON

Mathematics

Mr. Benson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Math Education from Duquesne University. He has 4 years of experience as a math and standardized test preparation tutor. At Duquesne, Mr. Benson designed lesson plans for elementary and middle school math teachers that connected math content to makerspaces. He has also assisted with STEM and coding summer camps for elementary and middle school students. Mr. Benson completed his student teaching experience at Central Catholic High School in Pittsburgh, PA, where he led 5 sections of geometry.

At Atlanta Classical, Mr. Benson will be teaching geometry and pre-algebra.

In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, watching sports, reading fiction, and frequenting coffee shops.
