MR. SCHEPPS

Upper School Principal

Mr. Schepps has a Bachelor of Arts in both English and History from Hillsdale College, and a Master of Letters in Theology and the Arts from the University of St Andrews. He is in his eighth year teaching Literature and his first as Upper School Principal (after serving as Assistant Principal for two years in the Upper School).

In Atlanta Classical’s opening year, Mr. Schepps started at the school as its founding upper school Literature teacher. As a member of the first graduating class of a classical charter school in Arizona, he recognized the immense value of engaging the great books and ideas in conversation and therefore planned throughout college to return to the classroom in a classical setting. The opportunity to teach the leading classes at ACA for several consecutive years persuaded him it was the place to start his career and, with the exception of a year away studying in Scotland, he has been here ever since.

Mr. Schepps and his wife have three children. He is excited to count his own children as Cavaliers in the not-so-distant future.

The mission of Atlanta Classical Academy is to develop graduates in mind and character through a classical, content-rich curriculum that emphasizes the principles of virtuous living, traditional learning, and civic responsibility.
