MR. NUGENT
Assistant Principal
Mr. Nugent holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Philosophy from Berry College. He taught for eight years in upper school history, literature, political and moral philosophy, and government classes. He spent two years serving as the Dean of Students and taught upper school humanities at Treasure Valley Classical Academy, a fellow BCSI school. He returned to Atlanta Classical as the Assistant Principal for the 2022-2023 school year.
Having grown up in central Florida in a large, home-schooled family of seven brothers and a sister with whom he spent much of his early life outside playing ball and enjoying the great outdoors, Mr. Nugent credits his mother and father for instilling him with good character and all the knowledge necessary to become a student and teacher. While attending Berry College, he studied under and learned the pedagogical habits of many of his esteemed professors such as Peter Lawler, Thomas Kennedy, and Michael Bailey.
Mr. Nugent lives in Smyrna with his wife of eight years and their two children, Benry and Willa.
