Upper School Principal

Mr. Andrew holds a BA in English from Hillsdale College and earned his MA in educational studies from the University of Michigan. In his time at Hillsdale, Mr. Andrew served as Editor-in-Chief of the school’s literary publication and was awarded the Hillsdale College English Award of Excellence.

After graduation, Mr. Andrew taught English at Cody High School in Detroit with Teach For America, where he was honored as the school’s teacher of the year by a community partner. He also spent time writing for The Atlantic, The Detroit News, Folks Magazine, and NPR’s affiliate station in Michigan. 

Mr. Andrew grew up in Bow, New Hampshire, as one of six children. His siblings are now sprawled across the world, but his parents continue to wander the White Mountains of his home state.  

The mission of Atlanta Classical Academy is to develop graduates in mind and character through a classical, content-rich curriculum that emphasizes the principles of virtuous living, traditional learning, and civic responsibility.
