MRS. COONS
Director of Communications
Mrs. Coons holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Auburn University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management, Emerging Markets, and International Marketing from the University of Cape Town, South Africa where she graduated with Distinction.
Mrs. Coons started her communications career in Washington, D.C., serving in the Legislative Affairs department of the White House; in Special Events and Donor Communication at the Center for Christian Statesmanship; and finally in Communications and Marketing at The Heritage Foundation.
In 2010, Mrs. Coons launched a strategic communications and marketing practice, focused on the formation and execution of brand development and communication initiatives utilizing new and traditional media, while developing local and regional partnerships. In this capacity, she has served multiple clients, notably Redeemer Day School as Marketing Director and Camp Evergreen.
Mrs. Coons is mother to three sons, all ACA students, and has been a part of the school since 2017, serving in various capacities as Room Mom, Grandparents Day Co-Chair, and in the classroom as a substitute teacher.
Outside of school, Mrs. Coons enjoys traveling with her three boys and husband, Todd, especially on summer “off-the-beaten-path” road trips, spending time in nature camping and hiking, and supporting her boys’ various sports and music activities.
