What a year for our high school cross country team! Earlier this month, our boys and girls took on high schools across Georgia in the State Finals in Carrolton, Ga.

Kellen Simmons was the first from ACA to finish in 20:46! Teammates Gavin Listro, Max Listro, Blake Morgan, Henry Mastrion, David West, Will Creech, and Ethan Bohannon were not far behind. ACA’s top five boys all finished within two minutes of each other, making one of their best team runs to date. After pushing themselves all season, the boys took second at regionals and 11th in the state.

Our ACA girls team really shined at the end of their season. After finishing first at regionals, sophomores Wesley Whitehead (left) and Anna Robbins faced off against some fierce competition at the state championship. Both girls had standout runs: Anna finished 9th in the state, and Wesley was not far behind her in 11th place. Anna was later named to the first-ever GATFXCCA All-State team!

These runners represented ACA well, both in their performance and their sportsmanship. Hard work certainly pays off!
