Seniors Get Boo’ed!
by Mrs. Cousar
On Wednesday, October 31st, the Kindergarten students at ACA had a big surprise for our seniors. They proceeded across the big lawn to congregate on the verandah at lunchtime. All of the Kindergarten teachers had prepped the students to help pass out special bags of candy to each senior. Each senior’s name was called and then two students would walk up to them and the whole group would yell, “BOO!”. We rotated through all Kindergarten students to acknowledge and “treat” each senior to a gift from the Kindergarten students. It was a fun celebration and an opportunity for the seniors to get a chance to see all of the adorable Kindergarten costumes and get numerous hugs. Kindergarten students were excited to interact with the “big kids” and parade down the High School hall. We look forward to more memories with the seniors.
Trunk or Treat
Members of the ACA Cavalier Competitive Cheer team spent Halloween serving Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta-Meridian Ronald McDonald House. They participated in a Trunk or Treat event for the children who couldn’t get out and trick or treat. The children and the hospital staff were so excited to see them, have the opportunity to take their minds off what they are going through and celebrate Halloween. Thanks to all the students who participated.
