MR. BETTENCOURT

History, Government, Philosophy

Mr. Bettencourt received a Bachelor of Arts in History and Philosophy from Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio. His areas of expertise include 19 century American history, history of philosophy and ethics.

During his time at Franciscan, Mr. Bettencourt served as the coordinator to his faith household for one year.  He also coordinated various outreach programs to the local community that served the poor and needy. Upon graduation, Mr. Bettencourt moved to Atlanta with his wife to start a new life in the South.

Mr. Bettencourt was born and raised in Central California. He enjoys reading a good philosophy book, hiking, running, drinking coffee and spending time with his family. Mr. Bettencourt lives in Duluth with his wife and son.

The mission of Atlanta Classical Academy is to develop graduates in mind and character through a classical, content-rich curriculum that emphasizes the principles of virtuous living, traditional learning, and civic responsibility.
