Mrs. Phillips graduated from Clemson University with a BS in textile engineering and a concentration in marketing. Her areas of expertise and interest include graphic design, visual spatial learning, and the Orton-Gillingham reading method most commonly used for dyslexia remediation. She has over ten years of lower and elementary school experience in various volunteer capacities.
Mrs. Phillips started her career identifying and developing content for interactive media at Turner Broadcasting Systems, then pursued an agency-based interactive marketing career through the advent of motherhood. While focusing on raising her boys, Mrs. Phillips successfully launched and ran a graphic design studio and constructiveHEARTS, a social enterprise raising funds, awareness and spirits for pediatric causes from cancer to dyslexia.
Mrs. Phillips and her husband have lived in Atlanta for almost 25 years and have two boys who attend Atlanta Classical. She loves traveling, spending time on any body of water with family and friends, and applying her personal experiences within the classroom.
