Mr. Greer is a native of Madison, WI. He moved to Atlanta to attend Georgia State University where he earned his BS in 2006. He has been working in Youth Development and Education for over 15 years.
Before joining Atlanta Classical Academy, Mr. Greer served as the Director of College Persistence and University Partnerships with Kipp Through College for Kipp Charter Schools in the Metro Atlanta Area. In his role prior to KIPP, he was a Senior Trainer for the Posse Foundation here in Atlanta where his role was to recruit, train, support, encourage and maintain contact with Posse Scholars while in high school and once they got to college. His role also entailed developing and maintaining relationships with key member of the faculty and staff at each school the Scholars attended. Prior to joining the Posse Foundation, Mr. Greer worked at John F. Kennedy Middle School as a Program Coordinator dealing with dropout prevention and parent involvement, and as a Healthy Lifestyles Director with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, in conjunction with Mayor Kasim Reed’s Centers of Hope Initiative. In his spare time, Mr. Greer has also worked with the Atlanta Hawks Community Development team and coached AAU Basketball for 5 years. Mr. Greer has always had a passion for developing and empowering youth to reach their full potential and enjoys opportunities where he can do just that.
He and his wife have two children. He and his family attend Chapel Hill Church. Mr. Greer is a huge sports fan, and loves everything about the Wisconsin Badgers, Milwaukee Bucks, and the Green Bay Packers.
