SRA. REY

Spanish

Sra. Rey grew up in Lima, Perú, South America and she would actually consider her second home Atlanta. She has been here since 1981. She earned her degree at Georgia State University, where she graduated with an AS degree from the College of Public and Urban Affairs.

Prior to Atlanta Classical Academy, Sra. Rey taught Pre-K at Northside Methodist Preschool for 10 years. There, she was the founder and teacher of a Spanish after-school enrichment program, followed by a Summer Camp in Spanish. During the summer months, Sra. Rey still works at the camp teaching Spanish to children ages 2-6.

Her passion is to teach her native language to young students as well as to share part of the Latin culture with them. In her free time, Sra. Rey loves hiking, reading, and listening and dancing to good music. She is a proud mother of three children.

The mission of Atlanta Classical Academy is to develop graduates in mind and character through a classical, content-rich curriculum that emphasizes the principles of virtuous living, traditional learning, and civic responsibility.
