Mrs. Cousar received a BS in agronomy and soils from Auburn University and a MS in crop and soil science from the University of Georgia.
Mrs. Cousar spent seven years at Fernbank Science Center teaching botany and horticulture classes to students in grades K-12. There, she developed teacher-training programs and conducted weekend public horticulture classes. She also taught two and three year old children at First Presbyterian Preschool for eight years. She enjoys using natural materials and outdoor environments to teach children about the world around them, and believes nature is a great way to foster a child’s innate sense of wonder.
Mrs. Cousar finds great joy in nature. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading and cooking.
