Matthew T. Kirby is the Chief Executive Officer of Atlanta Classical Academy. He is responsible to the Board, to authorizers, and to taxpayers for the performance of the School. He considers it his primary role to clarify, promote, and protect the mission of the school – to develop intelligent, virtuous American citizens.
He is grateful for the opportunity to work with so many families to have a lasting impact on the community.
Mr. Kirby is the President of Trickum Ops LLC, a 240-employee developer and operator of franchised restaurants. He is also a founder of Sixty Feet, Inc., a non-profit created to help wrongfully imprisoned children in Uganda. He is a former varsity football coach at North Atlanta High School, and he served for five years as an engineering and communications officer in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Kirby is a graduate of The Westminster Schools, the United States Naval Academy, and Emory’s Goizueta Business School. He and his wife, Jean, are the parents of three young children.
