MRS. DEAN

1st Grade

Mrs. Dean has worked in the field of education since 1996. She earned an Early Childhood certification degree from the University of West Georgia after earning a BA in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in psychology. The majority of her teaching experience has been spent working with young children. She loves working with the little ones! She started her career teaching PreK -first grade. She enjoys tutoring children part-time. An opportunity came along to work in the tutoring industry full time where she worked 7 years as an Assistant Director for Huntington Learning Center. After getting married in 2005, she moved back into classroom teaching full time where she has taught Kindergarten for the past 15 years at a local private school.

Mrs. Dean enjoys spending time with her family who also live in the Atlanta area. She also spends lots of time participating in activities at her local church including volunteering to teach Sabbath School. Over the summers, she volunteers at a local preteen summer camp in the north Georgia mountains. Mrs. Dean is very excited to start her new chapter teaching at ACA and to have her daughter join the ACA community as well!

The mission of Atlanta Classical Academy is to develop graduates in mind and character through a classical, content-rich curriculum that emphasizes the principles of virtuous living, traditional learning, and civic responsibility.
