Miss O’Rourke grew up all over the United States, but as of late, she would actually consider herself a true Atlantan. She earned her degree at Shorter College, where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. She greatly enjoyed earning this degree, although she secretly harbored a concurrent desire to be an English major as well.

Since graduating, Miss O’Rourke has worked in several educational roles, including teaching at a preschool, teaching private music lessons for several years, and most recently, teaching kindergarten. She is greatly anticipating the process of building relationships with her students and learning how they thrive. She loves to learn and to pursue beauty, and she seeks to gently instill those drives in all of her students.

In her free time, Miss O’Rourke loves to read, to be outdoors, and to participate in creative endeavors. She enjoys creative writing and music composition.

The mission of Atlanta Classical Academy is to develop graduates in mind and character through a classical, content-rich curriculum that emphasizes the principles of virtuous living, traditional learning, and civic responsibility.
