Summer Camp and Class Descriptions for 2019
BASKETBALL CAMP
Grades: Session 1: Rising 3rd- 6th graders; Session 2: Rising 7th-12th graders
Dates: Tuesday, May 28th- Friday, May 31st
Time: Session 1: Rising 3rd- 6th graders- 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Session 2: Rising 7th-12th graders- 1 p.m.- 4 p.m.

SUMMER CAMP: CHEER, CHOREOGRAPHY, and SKILLS CAMP
Eligible Participants: 2019-2020 cheer squad members only

PARENT DECODING WORKSHOP:
Invest in Your Child’s Reading Success
Grades: Parents of rising 2nd – 6th graders
Dates: June 10 – June 14, 2019
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Monday – Thursday; 9:00 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. on Friday

Registration and Payment for Parent Decoding Workshop
Does your child guess at difficult words while reading? Does he or she skip past tough words and hope that what was read will still make sense? And if it doesn’t make sense, do they simply keep on reading? Do they get frustrated when you try to help them? If this sounds familiar to you, this summer decoding bootcamp is just for you!
Join ACA teacher and Schenck School Orton-Gillingham trained Peri Phillips for a decoding bootcamp this summer. During this workshop, parents will learn the fundamentals of syllabification and will leave with the ability to confidently help their children decode complex and unfamiliar words.
Join other ACA parents for this great crash course in phonics that will help set you up for success this school year.
Spanish Camp with Señora Rey
Grades: Rising 3rd – 6th grade students
Dates: July 22 – July 26, 2019
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Registration and Payment for Spanish Camp
Join Señora Rey for this year’s Spanish Camp. Each day will be a new language immersion experience with a different theme. Campers will enjoy hands-on learning through arts and crafts, outdoor activities, singing, dancing, cooking and much more- all while developing their language skills in Spanish. Native Spanish speakers will also visit to enhance the activities. We look forward to seeing you this summer!
